Alpine HID Angel Eyes and Fog Hit Review...with pictures!!!!

Best and brightest HID Angels Eyes by far!!

I got the 8000k for angel eyes and 6000k for the fogs.

I called Alex on Friday, after browsing on the forum at work, and saw his thread on Alpine special combo deals. He picked up the phone and gave me the run down on pricing. He advised me to call him back an hour to set up a schedule. Called Alex back an hour later, he was able to fit me in his Saturday schedule that he was not able to originally. Long story short. Alex met up with me on Saturday on a VERY short notice and installed these bad boys in just a few hours. I am very happy with the product as well as the customer service.

Conclusion:
- great products. Angel eyes are very bright during daytime. if you are looking for a blue appearance "in person" you are not going to get that with the 8K, you will have to go with 10K. the pictures below shows the blue only because of the camera. In person, 8K has a very slight of blue tint to it...not a lot. But it is very bright
- Alex is very professional and provides great customer service. He treated my car as if it was his own, very careful and gentle with everything he touches. He wore gloves and made sure everything was put back into place. Installation was nice and neat, zip-tied all the wires and double-taped down the ballasts. NOT MESSY AT ALL

Anywayz...pictures below...enjoy

Nice I have the same set up but I have been getting error codes saying left parking lamp is out and i think it's the cancellor which is strange because it start about a month later. I've email alex several times about the cancellor but no reply and it's been several months so I gave up. Good luck with your alpine Hids.

I have had my HID ae from Alex for a year and a half and no codes at all. I have a few buddies that have had it for over 3 months and no codes. Keep trying to get a hold of him to get it fix. He has one of the best customer service out there and will get it fix ASAP...

Don't threadjack.

But keep in mind. This redneck has Halogen LCI, so I'm positive the setup is different.
But thanks

Alex is great, I have a set of 8k from him and a friend of mine has 6k. Alex has been more then helpful with installing and taking care of us if we had any problems.

Not to mention they are the best AE's on the market in my opinion!

Very nice. Why not 8,000k fogs? I'm planning on getting some too and I'm looking at options.

my original idea was to match the fogs with the Xenons...thats y I had 6000K..

if it's 8000K, it will be more blue than the AE's for sure...the color will be off..

Oh ok. I'm planning on getting 8,000k AEs and then probably 6,000/8,000k fogs.

Sorry I'm a noob but whenever you have HIDs what do you do with the low/high beams? Is that the bulb that alex offers? The D1S or whatever its called? Haha.

Not really sure what you're asking...but HID stands for High Intensity Discharge...what you're getting from Alex would be HID Angel Eyes and HID Fogs...

What year is your car? sedan? coupe? I can better answer your Q if I know ur car

Anyways, I have an '09 328i sedan. Halogens. What I'm asking is since i want the HIDs AE/fogs what about the headlights itself? Just replace the bulbs or buy an hid itself. I want to match them all.

If you want your headlight HID, then u need to do a Halogen to Xenon conversion...I am not too familiar with that, and I don't want to provide you the wrong information.

Do a search on the forum, there are a lot of great info that can provide what you are trying to accomplish.

Mine already came with Xenon, so I just had to swap the D1S bulb to match the color...

Ok I'll do a bit of searching but what I was wondering is what the D1S bulb was. Those are only for xenons. Ok I see.
