Alpine HID Fog flickering

I purchased my fogs several months ago from Alex. I installed them with no problem what so ever. About a week ago my passenger fog light started flickering as soon as I turned them on. Any advice on what to do? Thanks.

Do you also have his HID Error Cancelling In Line Caps installed?

Could be either one of those, or the ballast on that side going out...

Only way to tell would be to 1st switch the Error Cancellor from good side to bad side and see if that solves the problem, if not, do the same with the ballast

sounds like the ballasts is going bad, typical problem with aftermarket kits. make sure all of the connections are secure, sometimes they come loose on bumps, and swap the ballasts to the opposite side and see if the flickering moves over.

Ok I'll try that soon. My ballast is already mounted though. So do you think I can maybe just switch the bulbs and wires and connect them to the different ballasts?

Well mine was doing that for a while. Finally just went out. Check and the bulb is fine so something else. Been trying to get alex to send me another kit for a while now, but he seems real busy

Same here, Had flickering fogs and an blown ae bulb. Had gotten replacements ballasts for fog which helped but has not gotten replacement bulbs for ae. the ae went out last Nov. I've been an one eyed bimmer since then. on top of that my fog just went out. Actually spoke to alex recently and he said he was sick but was going to send replacements.

Its been 2 wks since i talk to him and im still waiting.

Waiting on a warranty ballast from Alex myself.

When I last talked with Leo on 4/26 he stated they have been out of ballasts for 2 weeks because shipment was held up in customs. They were supposed to be in last week...

Sometimes the error just disapears by it self... Checked all connections?

I installed the 6000k HID last night and it looked amazing, everything looks great and it was really bright. Few hours later, i noticed one of the bulb turned into yellowish color. So i switched it around and the same bulb turned yellowish within few seconds. I just drove home from 45 mins away and the light error came on at least 7-8 times, it comes on and it goes away. I contacted warranty@alpine, still waiting for the reply.

I was thinking about buying Alpine HID angel eyes. I may have to reconsider.

Alpine HID kit is great. I had mine for about a year with no problems. I think it's cleaner product than the competitors.
