2FBF, what is the record for HPFP thrown on the lowest on the odometer
I got a SES light last night, I installed my JB3 last weekend and was woried. Plugged in my BT and scanned the codes and got a 2FBF. I also have experianced some long cranks.
All seems like a familar story here on e90post, but here is the kicker. I have an 09 that I bought less than 3 months ago. There is only aprox 2700 miles TOTAL on the car! The BT scan also shows I thrown this code at around 1200 miles! Way before the JB3... just shortly after i bought the f'er. So what is the record for throwing a 2FBF and what is the record for lowest millage to replace these piece of shit fuel pumps? When should i contact the dealer? Is this enough proof to get my HPFP replaced or will they clear the code and send me on my way? |

They wont just clear the code. They will replace the hpfp. Thats really close to the hpfp record if im not mistaken. I thought that 1500 miles or thereabouts was the current record.

Just got a call back from the dealer. It wasn't my HPFP that went out....
It was my LPFP!!! Has other people have issues with the LPFP on your e9x? |

Didn't someone's HPFP go out while they were driving out of the dealership right after they got a new HPFP? I thought I remember reading that.

That basically happened to me. I got a 335i loaner when my car was in service. I specifically requested they provide me one so I could also use the opporotunity as a test drive... HPFP went out. DOH!

Not something to be proud of, but looks as if mine is going at 636 miles....
Had three long cranks yesterday, scanned and found code 2FBF. I cleared it to see if it comes back again. Will try again later tonight. Pretty disappointing to have issues this early on. Anyone have any experiences with the service departments in Northern California (SF Area)? Which ones to avoid/use? Thanks! |
