+1 I'll be switching to coilovers in March/ April so it's either these or KWv1s.

I contacted FA today and they said, "The 335xi coilovers should be ready for 2014. "

Stupid question:
Are these gonna initially be E90 specific or both the 90 and 92?

There is no difference.
That's like saying wheels for an e90 or e92.

I was thinking they were slightly different because of the difference between 2 and 4 door weight/geometry of the suspension mounting points. Didn't realize they were a direct replacement for both.

Has there been any update on these? I'm looking to drop my xi this year and I've heard awesome stuff about FA.

Just got this message from FA,
Quote:
"Hello Joseph,
We have coilovers available for the 335xi now! The only downside is they do not go very low due to the limitations of the chassis. At maximum drop they go 2-2.5 inches below stock height."

That's good to hear! Also, plenty low. At that level the suspension geometry starts to get messed up anyway. Not to mention, much lower than that is practically scraping on the ground. That would make them not very useful on the street, especially here with the car sized potholes in the NYC area.

I talked to Gary and Alex at Martin Motorsports and they should be posting some group buy details on here shortly. We are looking at $1349 with any spring rates you want up to 16k plus maybe something to sweeten the deal if there are enough of us in on it. Hopefully they will be on here soon.

I agree 2.5" is plenty as far as I am concerned. For the price I think these are a killer deal.

Do we know which model of their kits will fit the xi? Is it single or double adjustable? Also, 2" is a pretty good drop. So not sure why they said only 2".

It is at least the single adjustable 500 series that is available for the xi, I'm not sure about the others.

I assume they said "only" 2in because compared their kits for other models that is probably not much.

That group buy price doesn't sound very attractive, unless they are including the swift springs.
I'm placing an order for a set this week, and have an invoice for much less than that price.

whatever happened with these? Seems like a great alternative to v1 but the pricing needs some adjustment

MM never posted like they said they would so I went somewhere else... the minimum advertised price that FA allows is $1349 but I can say with certainty you can get quotes for less than that.

Just put in an order. It's gonna be about 3 weeks before I get them though, which is fine because it'll be better timing and hopefully no more snow. Now just gotta find a good shop for the install!
