not starting/firing

So the car cranks a lot, but i wouldget it to juuuuust about to fire, the part where u feel its going to completely turn over, but it doesnt. I would get there and it would just keep cranking. Its like it almost reach at the top of the hill, but it touches the point and falls right back down....

Im stuck ... i thought it was gas but i have about 1/8th tank left of vpower

Called roadside, 45min wait...anyone know what the issue is?

I'd still have it checked out - perhaps a fault code has been stored.

And to E90328, how could the car crank with a dead battery?

Bad gas?

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

Really? I mean I know i have 1/8th tank left, but it was filled at a high turnover shell station. it's a pretty busy one near the highway. But it started fine for the past year almost after using the same station.

Anymore ideas?

Check for codes. Sounds like bad fuel pump, cam/crank position sensor, or sticky vanos/valvetronic solenoids.
