It was a real eye opener coming from a VAG background to BMW - BMW's Diesels are far superior.

Presumably because it shows up the low output on the 2.7, but they're going to miss out on a load of company car buyers....

also the 2.0 170PD isn't the most refined... I came from a Bora 1.9TDI 150bhp which was good fun but also very unrefined.

I think I read that it will appear in the range later, but as its most likely to be the most popular engine, I'm not sure it makes sense. I got the pack the other day and after reading it was glad I went with the 3-series and didn't wait for the A4.

But, since its new, people will queue up to buy and be the first to have one.
