Yep! They changed the marque date to the first sunday of every month, but the turn out should still be pretty good. I heard some vette boys go out to Lancaster in the middle of nowhere to race, i might be joining them, could be interesting!

Sure. I'm booked at the "SoCal" location in Kettleman City. I have no idea where that is but I guess it's where most people are staying.

What time are you guys leaving? I have a board meeting at 9am...no idea how long it will take but I will probably leave sometime thereafter...like maybe noon/1pm. My office is in Newport Beach so it would take me an hour to get up where you guys live.

Not sure if anyone was counting on this feature (I was), but apparently GoPro released the Hero3 without iPhone app support. That's right...it has wifi built in, but the app update won't be released until Nov. 12...just in time to miss this event. You can buy the remote, but you won't be able to do live previews unless you get the lcd screen as well.

Eric, is your E as fast as your C? I'm assuming the C was down on power but made up for it with a significantly lower curb weight.

I definitely think my E63 is faster than old C63. Reason being, the c63 was door to door with Terrys car when it had the stock turbos. The fact that my E63 can pull on a strong running RB n54 car says it must be faster.

Best the C63 did at Famoso was 11.5 at 122mph. Hoping at the upcoming private rental that my E63 can break into the 10's at 126+mph. We shall see.

Interesting. Never thought about drag racing though as I'm dialing it in for the track/airstrip events only. Would be different if I went the 911T route. The DCT transmission is phenominal but just not designed for hard launches.

I don't like to beat on my car and don't do hard launches either. I'm more about trap speed at these drag events, as that's the measure that really tells the story. Just sign up and join us, you will have a lot of fun.

I could be down for a couple soft-launch runs....but that day I leave the country on a surf trip. Hopefully next time.
