Vanguard V2 + AR Catless Downpipes + COBB Stage 2+. No rasp for me. Didn't sound anything like your videos

The only thing I could think of that would make your exhaust sound different than mine is AT vs MT. Mine is AT. But still, I don't think it would make that much of a difference. Maybe in an MT you let off the throttle to shift a little before redline, so you don't get to go all the way up to redline at WOT, therefore not hearing the rasp I describe.

I don't see how your car could sound any different than mine. Downpipes are downpipes, not much of a sound difference since we're both cat less. And you have the same exhaust.

Good review. Is just like other 1000 reviews abt AE exhaust saying how bad ass it is. I had it and there's nothing hoid abt the sound of that exhaust. The only good thing Is the finish and quality of it.

This was my next option but not anymore I guess. Going with second cat delete and axel back then.

Yeah man, save your money. I'm going to weld in an X pipe instead of an H pipe and see if that changes the rasp, some time in the future. If not, I'm selling it and getting coilovers.

I have heard about 4 different cars with same setup with catless dp. All ATs and they were all loud and raspy. I think Brey is just less sensitive when it comes to rasp. It would help if he can do a video so we can all tell

I agree. Brey, if you could make a few videos for us, that would be awesome and much appreciated.

My stock exhaust rasps way more than my Vanguard ever did. Can't make a video. I sold Vanguard a week ago.

I don't mean to be an asshole, so please don't take this offensively, but if you think your stock exhaust rasps, I don't think you know what rasp is.

Yeah, I figured you meant HKS. I've never heard it in person, so I have no idea.

This is odd because mine didn't rasp that much either (My Vgard). Only while the car was cold, after that the rasp died down a lot.

I am VERY sensitive to rasp, I think stock with downpipes and my current PE are both raspier than the Vanguard. I had an old V1 setup though and it did sound a bit deeper/louder than the V2's I've heard.

Another Vanguard I heard in person had a terrrrrifying rasp up top.

Same goes for the PE, a lot of cars I've heard with the PE rasp a lot, but then a couple guys I know have no rasp.... one of them has downpipes and a secondary cat delete as well with no resonator and his car still only rasps as much as a car with all stock cats and PE.

Weirdddd stuff.... still don't have an exhaust I love on this car.

Dude, honestly the rasp makes me not want to top out the RPMs on my car. I hate, hate, HATE rasp. Some people can tolerate it. NOT ME!

X pipe is going in real soon to replace the H pipe. If that doesn't work, I'm done with cat back exhausts, gonna stick with stock exhaust and DPs.

I don't think the x-pipe is going to do the trick on a raspy Vanguard setup. A seconds set of resonator would work a lot better.

I actually have a feeling the resonators Vanguard uses are horrible and maybe completely replacing them with better resonators would do the trick.

Thanks for the help man. I don't know what I'm going to do. Either X pipe or selling it. I'm not wasting more money on resonators.

I didn't spend $1200 to waste more money modifying the exhaust to get rid of rasp. Screw Vanguard, I can't believe people on this forum actually like it. And the fact that i've never come across an ill review of it before, astounding...

My Vanguard + Catless downpipes have no rasp. If anything the problem is a little drone down low, but there is no rasp up high.

And an X Pipe is not going to eliminate rasp, if anything X Pipes usually create rasp, and H pipes a little drone

Maybe u have an exhaust leak?

That's not the case...I have an X-Pipe cause I'm still on the stock midpipe. My car drones like fuck.

Even in M3's, if you want loud, you get a Challenge "X-Pipe" not an H-Pipe. So yes, X-Pipe creates drone, and H-Pipe create rasp.

At least 300-400 miles. The rasp isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
