modifying n52 exhaust to sound like PE
I know there is a lot of love for this in the 335i community : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=739970
but has anyone (other than gavin) done this for the n52 mufflers? I just recently picked up a RE Ikon muffler, so I had my stocker to mess around with. I cut it open to reveal whats inside. Before I go to wild, does anyone have any ideas? See my pics of the inside of the muffler below: |

Leslie Du, the one mentioned in the Canada section thread has done this. even has n52 videos
from what you are showing - the muffler was cut at its meeting point with the exhaust pipe - kinda odd. I would connect the perforated pipe and the small pipe to the inlet pipe asap. OR connect inlet pipe to the tips asap

First off hats off to you for having the balls to do this haha But I think you should find diff mufflers that make noise and then go off them and if paired with your resonator compare it locally with somebody with a PE, so if it's quiet inside and louder outside you may have a great product.
