If you want to work out from the disc content what version you have, then you need to put the NAV disc into a DVD drive in a computer and then use Wordpad/Notepad or simular to load up the cdrom.toc file from the root directory of the disc. It will look like the below which is a 2010 professional disc. Note that BMW seem to label a disc a year later than than the content says so if it says 2009, the disc is a 2010 release. Continental Automotive GmbH I IC RD G SW NM DB Content Volume: CD_6978 Date: 6.8.2009 db: AUNZ(2009Q1) Area: Australia + New Zealand Supplier: Teleatlas Version: 505.99.953.2.84 Customer: 318766572 Customer Info: BMW Features: ZIP3kb feaB6(BMW) pti(BMW) TPD: 2009075015 TMC: no Phoneme: no DBAL: V1.15V2.13V3.0V4.8V5.6V6.1V7.1 |

Actually you can get it for free if only someone with a current DVD takes the 15 minutes to create an ISO image from it and then to store and share it on something like drop box.
Nav discs must be the only software not shared openly on the Internet. Fairly easy to get a US or European updated map for free. |

Just cryptically, one of the Melbourne-based sponsors of this site might be able to help you out...albeit perhaps not with V.19. Let me know if you get a hold of V.19 please .

Yes, that's the spirit.
Here's a link to the 2009 Australian Business DVD. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s0sgly0key...av_2009_au.iso I'll get hold of the latest one and share that as well. |

Edit: $380 was the price for a genuine v19 from the dealer a couple of weeks ago when I enquired. I was going to buy but when I arrived, the parts department had bailed early for Christmas ignoring their published opening times. Haven't got around to investigating any further (was in Sydney but I live in Brisbane). I also had a quote for $340 but I suspect that was excluding GST. Sorry if this is a silly question but how is the CIC updated, with a DVD like the CCC?
As in is there a pirated way to get the update? Ps, sorry if people feel this is imorale. Personlally it's no different from buying parts OS IMO, I support BMW in many ways including paying 1k for a spare key I lost so saving a dollar here and there seems fair. |

The 2013 CIC maps were released in March 2013, so give it a couple more months. More info here... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...3#post13645213 |

Definitely...if you have a CIC NAV system with the USB port in the right hand side of your glove box. Upload won't work though if you don't also have the FSC activation code for your VIN to input when prompted prior to the upload kicking off.
