Thumbs up Artie's Auto in Westbury!

Hey Everyone,

I recently got the car on the lift symbol along with brake warning light on. Turns out the timer went off for rear brake pads. Artie inspected the pads and said they all are good, they tried to reset the timer, and said the tool couldn't read the sensor for some reason (and it could not reset the timer because of this), so he thought it was a cut sensor. I went out and bought the parts, called him up, brought the car by, he said he was busy but would squeeze it in, a few hours later I pick up the car and everything is great no errors. Best of all he only charged me 50 bucks in labor! I cannot say enough about how nice he is and how knowledgeable he is with BMWs.

if the brake symbol came on because of the timer, then you could just reset it through the dash. no need for a special tool.

No the point was that it would not reset, because it happened to be that the last person who replaced the pads never replaced the sensor, just the timer, so the timer went off, but the sensor was already cut.
