Yes, you can run H&R race springs on the e90xi. there are some pics here that you can check out : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=449209

Many people will come in saying that you're gonna need some upgraded shocks for that aggressive drop, and I'm gonna agree with that.. you can, however, use them for a while, i guess, before the ride quality gets too harsh. hope that helped!

I'd hope the standard for a BMW is a bit more than just looks. Sacraficing any of BMW's ride quality and engineering seems kind of silly.

I mean, if you're going that way, why not just cut the damn the springs? Some might scoff, but it's not like anyone can say it's a worse engineered solution.

Well....springs engineered for a specific car are made to work and perform for the specific model. Cutting springs is not engineering, and it's not at all the same. Every race car out there is lowered and so is every show car. Only a idiot would cut springs and consider it the same thing as going out and buying a set of springs that are engineered specifically for a car.

I am planning on doing the H&R race springs on my 328xi '08 w/bilsteins b8, I 'just' bought the XI H&R's already and more didn't realize the front rake with them. =X

335XI E92 and race springs

soo if E90 sport springs are same as e92 sport springs, and race springs fit on an E90 XI will race springs fit on an E92 XI?

Well, H&R doesn't make "springs engineered to work on a specific model" for this car. They only make the sports "specifically engineered for" the 328xi.

If the standard is just to look cool, only an idiot would make such a terrible performance based decision. Your car will ride like crap, and you'll ruin the struts with both options. Might as well save some money on your ricer, if that's really all you want to achieve anyways.

$0.02

Personally, if you're looking to upgrade your suspension on a BMW, I'd want to do work worthy of a BMW and accomplish more than just a tucked/slammed look at the expense of the driving experience.

^ Aren't you in an e46? Looks like you're in a 2006 330i.

Hard to make any meaningful comparisons there...

I'm wondering this same thing I have an e92 335xi LCi, would the race springs "work" for me also? I have sport now and it looks horrible
