245 on stock rear?

06/E90 Staggared,

Currently running 255/35/r18 and thinking of going to 245/40R18. Would there be any problem with the thinner wheel on the stock rim?

Thanks

Eric V

It's not thinner, it will be taller actually.

Assuming you are running 225/40/18 up front the diameter difference between your front and rears with 245/40/18 will be 2.5%. I think that it will be fine but I wouldn't do it.

The width is not a problem. I am running 245/40/18s on my rears, but I am running a square setup.

Why would you want to go to 245/40? More comfort?
