55mph to 142mph v2 datalog

Just came back from doing some pulls on a closed private road. I have a non-sport 335i sedan and thought I would do the limiter defeat and see what happens. The first couple of times I had limp mode at 135 dont know why, but I found my own solution by shifting at 6500RPM's for some reason my steptronic in DS is shifting at 7100rpms!

Anyways I got it to work and was able to do a run from 55mph to 142mph. So here you go.

To be honest, i never tested the speed limiter feature on a nonsport car. There is a chance that the clamp speed needs to be set lower. I've tested my Sport equipped 6MT car up to 175mph on the dyno, btw

No doubt, I wish my boost curve looked that way. It's more like a plateau then a curve!! My datalogs show boost all over the place from 11.5 up to 14.9 in some places.............can't ever seem to get it to run 14.9 through a whole 2nd to 4th gear run.

im at 90% for now, looking forward to seeing what it will feel like @ 15psi and then fill her up with the good stuff, 100 octane and put up the TQ settings to 100%!

Does anyone know what shiv is expecting to add in terms of wheel hp with the DP's and Cone CAI?

If some how we can get another 75-80 wheel hp over the V2, I think this car would be perfect in terms of power. Then I have to invest more in suspension, brakes, and LSD.

Back to my original question...

Is it tapering off at all? Its zoomed out so far that I dont think I could tell. Most, if not all logs taper off after 5,XXX to around 13~13.5

Totally normal. In max power applications, it is possible to lessen the amount of high rpm boost taper. But in pump gas applications, the limiting factor is octane/knock resistance, not necessarily boost pressure. Especially above 5500rpm.

It was a misprint on Shiv's explanation. I believe he ment to say 5500rpm not 55,000 rpm.

I got it! that would be awesome to have a redline that high you would only have a 1 speed transmission.

Shiv
Sorry, Im not completely understanding the explanation. So, his particular gas wasnt the limiting factor which allowed minimal (or no) taper? So Chitown, were you running higher then 93 octane?
