Got to raise the average some:
Kevin\Lewiston, Maine\age 43 I thought I was hot stuff driving an '84 Jetta GLI in college - that car cost new 1/2 of what an '84 318i cost, and I bought it nowhere near new! You kids stay off my lawn!

My father has a 2011 3er. He hasn't (and won't) join the forum but his details are: Member: (not a member). , Place of Birth: Woodville, MS , True Age: 94 That may make him the oldest 3er driver in the country, forum or no forum. He loves the car and got it because he liked it better than the F10. He's got 20K miles on it.

Good lord, I actually have two cars that I use regularly and that are older than a good number of folks here!! LOL
When did this group become so young? Why do so many young people have $40K to $50K to spend on a car?

They don't; it's why they shit a brick when it breaks, or pay an outrageous sum (and finance BMW) for pre-paid extended maintenance.
