Car looks great. Where did you get the steering wheel from? It's my understanding that the LCI paddles need to be modded to suit preLCI Auto cars (not sure on the DCT) so just want to know if it was modded or not. Thanks. |

The paddles I purchased modified to suit pre-LCI spec cars. They have a resistor removed to make the circuit work like the ssg paddles. Another change was required is to rewire the socket of the lci paddles the same way as the m3 dct paddle wiring configuration. Once this was done, works perfect just like a 335i LCI dct Happy now I have an n54, with dct and proper paddle configuration |

Any advice would be helpful to some of us who's trying to retrofit the LCI paddles (m3 paddles are plug-and-play which is much simpler). Why I said DCT made a difference earlier is because you already had a paddle setup, whilst the retrofit which some of us are doing is moving from a non-paddle wheel to a wheel with paddles. This requires a retrofit harness (which already exist for yours - albeit maybe some wiring differences). |

Wiring as follows; THIS IS HOW IT CAME FROM NEXON Left Paddle Connector ______ 3-------|<--downshift 2-------| 1-------|<--ground ==<-tab Right Paddle Connector ==<-tab 1-------|<--ground 2-------| 3-------|<--upshift ______ THIS IS HOW I WIRED IT (SAME AS M3 DCT) Left Paddle Connector ______ 3-------|<--downshift 2-------|<--ground 1-------| ==<-tab Right Paddle Connector ==<-tab 1-------| 2-------|<--ground 3-------|<--upshift ______ Your setup is obviously different, as it's a full retro fit kit. I recommend you search on here and see if someone has purchased the retro kit from Nexon and may be able to assist you? Last edited by BMWPWR; 03-16-2012 at 12:38 AM.. |

Stu, it looks like the paddle connectors to the harness may also need to be modded as well to be like the M3. Maybe that might be the solution? Last edited by rayz; 03-16-2012 at 09:05 AM.. |

rayz,
i'll put some time in next week or the week after, and get this working 100%. i'm almost certain i soldered your paddles exactly correctly, and just need to work out the actual wiring after the paddles. we'll get there bro, with or without outside help! |
