Hi Game, I actually did this mod my self. The hardest part was cutting the pipes inside because my tool was too big to fit all the way in. I eventually got it done and welded in the new ones i picked up from Oreilly.

The white e92 with the bbs wheels and quad exhaust tips from downtown that was sold I think Dbworldk or something like that had it done as well.

Yes, I spoke with him and he bought his mufflers pre-modded.

Game isn't it a pretty simple and straight forward mod?

Yup. But i'm not a welder. Was seeing if anyone has gone to a local shop, so I could save myself the grief of trying to explain what I want done.

Ahh. I see what you mean. That would help... if anything it's kind of a "ghetto place" but it might be the cheapest. It's called Mexico mufflers on Elmhurst Rd http://www.yelp.com/biz/mexico-muffl...ospect-heights
Hit or miss but you can't beat the price. If not magic auto http://www.magicautoinc.com is a better place I could get you contact information and or aid in explaining if need be. My dad use to work for them and my dad welded my exhaust after all the cutting was done by me. |

I went to p and l when i had mine. I dont think they did it right though. It didnt pop or gurgle. It just sounded a tad louder. Sounded good but not performance exhaust mod good.

Might end up just going for the real performance exhaust. |

This is what I ended up doing after debating the PE mod for months. Coming from someone who debated both options for so long, I honestly don't think the two sound the same. Maybe a bit similar, but if you have the cash for it. I'd go ahead and buy the real thing.
Keep in mind, if you do end up choosing to sell your PE, you can typically get around $800 for it. |
