++ COBB custom Pro Tunes Group Buy ++
CLOSED DUE TO RECENT FORUM RULES CHANGES ON GROUP BUYS
(http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=712096) ===== Hey guys, A couple days ago, after having had the chance to try Cobb from my friend's car on my otherwise stock car (just DCIs so far) I got my own AP unit and running Stage 1 Aggressive at the moment. Its a BLAST! I'll be getting downpipes in the next couple days and going for Stage 2. Talking to a couple members over the last couple days and after meeting Dzenno I've decided to get a custom pro tune through the guys at Pro Tuning Freaks (protuningfreaks.com) and maximize the power for 94 octane that I always run in my ride. Looking on their site there are a couple different options. I'd like to get the dyno with 1 hour on dyno so I get a before and after tuning numbers. Regular price is $300 which is already amazing considering other places charge from $5-600 for custom tunes. Dyno time is another $120 on top so $420 total regular price with a dyno sheet in my hand once all said and done. They're willing to do a group buy and come down on price if we get a bunch of guys at the same time and for anyone interested. They'll even include an hour of street tuning before going on the dyno free of charge (regular price is another $100 on top for street tuning). Anyone who is remote (not in the GTA) can also join us in the group buy for a remote tune. Regular price is $200 for 1 map. Group buy details: For locals in the GTA: 5-9 people = $370 total, includes street tuning 1 hour and dyno tuning 1 hour, makes 1 custom map in the end. Take away $120 if you don't want a dyno,so $250 total with no dyno) 10+ people=$320 total, includes everything the same as above ($200 total without dyno)For custom pro tunes for anyone REMOTE (outside the GTA or in the US): 5-9 people = $150, includes custom street tuning with the customer over email. Customer emails in datalogs of their car saved with the AP, they provide a custom map, customer datalogs again until the car is running great with new custom tuning. You can do a dyno at your own time if you wish to have the before and after. 10+ people = $100, includes same as above. Here is the current GB list: Locals in the GTA, includes street and dyno tuning 1 hour each: 1. jazze90 2. kalamokid 3. CuriousIndian 4. 5. Remote tune (for those outside of GTA): 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. I'd love to take advantage of this opportunity. Let's try this for a week see how many guys we can get. If nothing comes of it so be it but I'd rather use my cash for some other mods down the road. Last edited by jayzF30; 07-02-2012 at 09:28 AM.. |

Is there another website we can do group buys on? This is first time I see group buys not available on a forum but rules are rules. |

The group buy ends tomorrow so it's a good idea to sign up asap. I have signed up for the groupbuy but will be getting protuned sometime in august when i get more parts.

I spent a few hours with Dzenno yesterday to street tune my car. My baseline logs show there is plenty of power to be had on 94 pump gas even with running the most aggressive OTS map (S2+FMIC)
He was able to adjust my timing in the low/midrange while slightly reducing load targets and yet see very noticeable gains. We did several runs fine tuning the maps until the logs looked just right. Dzenno is quite meticulous and will make sure your car is running well. For anyone that is on the fence about getting pro tuned, I highly recommend it. I'll report back once everything is finalized and I have a chance to hit the dyno. Last edited by nitehawk; 07-30-2012 at 04:37 PM.. |

Gains were calculated using before and after logs in Virtual Dyno.
Actual Dyno will be done in a few weeks. |

The wait will be worth it I take it you were able to grab that massive FMIC in the classifieds haha. Once you've got all your hardware running smooth is the time for custom tuning |

Those are some great numbers. When I did my tune with Dzenno he was so nice to show me everything he was doing and try to teach me about it too. I picked up on a few things but its really way over my head. I just know my car pulls noticeably better now after his tuning. Really glad we have him here.

Wow, just saw the graph lol...
Serious numbers. I'm hoping I can achieve that on my JB4 with FBO without meth with the new G5board everyone keeps talking about. I got lots to learn still so it's day by day right now haha Edit: And yes I did grab that huge FMIC from Dr. G. Thing is gorgeous lol; can't wait to put it on. |
