Warning Light

Hi guys, driving home from work today and a red warning symbol appeared where my clock normally shows on the dash. Its this ---> (!) in red. I also have a triangle with the ! Symbol in the BC box. The petrol is 2 notches below quarter of a tank and says I have 80 miles to go, is it fuel related??

Cheers,
H

Could be if it's showing 80 miles. Stick some fuel in and see if it goes away.

If it is a red ! in a triangle it is due a service soon.
Red ! in a circle (!) is brake fluid.

Low fuel is a petrol pump symbol!!

Starting to shit myself now, its still there after filling to the brim!! If i'm due a service should it not give a mileage etc? It doesnt go away. When i use bc and try and do a check control it doesnt give me any info it just shows the red (!). The bc screen still has the triangle (normal colour yellowish orange).

Any other ideas folks before i run out of boxers??

Cheers,
H

Would the brake fluid not give any other warning or check control warning?

No mate, get through the menu to check control and select it and all that happens is it shows me the (!) sign nothing at all else. I know before it used to say something like check ok.

Download a manual and have a look if you don't have a paper one.
This should give you a start

Thank mate its definitely the tyre pressure light according to the manual. Thing is, what pressures should the tyres be at for the system to recognise i've sorted it??

I have 19's the standard ones.

Thanks

Tyre pressures are listed on the placard on the drivers door pillar. They're different depending on body style, engine size and tyre size, so difficult to say what yours should be.

Once you've checked them, reset the TPMS - instructions in the manual if you don't know how.

Can confirm that the symbol is for tyre pressure so touch wood nothing major!

Do what Parapaul has just said and that will solve your problem no sweat :-)

So far so good, reset the warning last night. Drove a good 6 miles to work and no warnings as yet. Fingers crossed it was just a blip?
