2009 BMW 335d  [8.00]
Hi guys,

I own a 2009 335d and will be doing a full suspension swap on it come next spring. So far I've collected these pieces for it:

Rear M3 sway bar
Rear M3 subframe bushings
Power Grid - adjustable sway bar end links (front and rear)
Megan Racing rear toe arms

I'm looking to complete the rear first and was wondering what you guys know and feel about the following pieces:

M3 Rear Guide Rods:

* all aluminum
* just over 1.5 lbs each

M3 Rear Upper Links:

* all aluminum
* just over 1.7 lbs each

Megan Racing Trailing Arms (rear guide rods):

SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES:

- High-Strength Steel Alloy
- 3-Stage Powder-coating Process
Adjustment.
- Self-Lubricating Pillow-ball End-Links

MEASUREMENTS:
- Maximum Length: 10 1/4"
- Minimum Length: 8 5/8"
- Rod End Width: 2.0", 1 7/8"
- Rod End ID: 15/32"

Megan Racing Camber Arms (rear upper links):

SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES:

MEASUREMENTS:
Rod End ID: 15/32"
Minimum Arm Length: 9 7/8"
Maximum Arm Length: 11 13/16"
Max/Min measurements based on center-hole to center-hole dimension.

- Made with high-strength and anti-cranking rubber material

- Rubber viscosity is around 2000KGS

- Direct replacement/ no modifications needed

So in summary, I'm looking to finish up the rear suspension on the car and want to hear about the pros and cons of the above parts and what you guys recommend and why.

Thanks!

The M3 parts are designed for the E92 by BMW; they did all the R&D including crash testing. They are lightweight aluminum and excellent quality. I can't speak for the quality of the Megan arms, but they are heavy as they're made of steel. My opinion, get the M3 parts unless you have a use for the adjustability of the Megan arms.

i have some oem m3 upper links for sale if interested $200 shipped and actually the m3 arms are heavier than the stock 3 series arms. The only safety arm on all bmw 3series e9x is the trailing arm. It crushes on impact to try to prevent rolling the car. So thats one arm i wouldn't change
