James - How did you do?
My buddy who I was supposed to run with finished in just over 3 hrs. He said it was the hardest thing he'd ever done and I made the right decision by holding out because of my knee but that I would definitely have gotten off on it. My girls did well, had fun. Being at the venue and watching was killing me even though when I was running accross the kids course for pics my knee was hurting.

Good, I was running with a buddy that was struggling after 1.5 miles, so it was way under my normal pace. After fighting down my competitive nature and not wanting to run the race solo, I decided to just run with him and a bit later two others of our team that caught up to us.
So, I didnt need to really push myself, and the running is what I hat the most, the rest was pretty easy when it came to push my self. No real pain to push through. The obstacles were fun but seriously backed up. I failed three though. The jumping from stomp to stomp karate kid style, the monkey bars with the rollling bars and the walls with the climbing wall set up, so 80 burbees. It was the first run I did were I couldnt do all the obstacles. I really enjoyed the running through the creeks and all the mud. Our time was 2.5 hour (we think, it was a made scrable for warmth at the end), but if we were in the first or second heat, I would guess it would have been in the 1:30-1:45 range. But that would have been with a group of three running at a 9-10 min mile pace. did you watch the last wall at all? getting from the mud pit up to the first set of poles sticking out was impossible solo. I spent about 15 mins laying on one of the poles just helping folks up waiting for my team mates.
