So I got vinyl happy and made a huge mistake

Hey guys,

I ordered some vinyl and vinyled my interior trim on the dash. It came out great. I decided to try to do the silver part of the automatic gear shift lever next. I tried to pop it off and it came off no problem. However, i realized i broke two tabs in the process. Does anyone know where i can buy just this replacement chrome piece? or have another solution?

Thanks!

i am at work now but can try later. honestly, i dont know if it was meant to be taken off. The tabs almost look like one time use. They are very cheap plastic.

i did notice that as i first started to pry the chrome piece off, it became loose and didnt seem to line up on the top and bottom.

maybe someone else can chime in.

i did this initially but have the hand steadiness of a recovering alcoholic. i kept screwing it up when trying to cut the vinyl and not getting full coverage.
