New clutch for 335
I have a 07 335i and noticed the clutch slip a few times over the weekend, it hasn't slipped since but I'm in the market for a new clutch now just incase. Cars making 400 whp and 425 wtq, was thinking about getting the f10 550i clutch with the mfactory single mass fly wheel. Does anyone know what the max power we can squeeze out of the 550i clutch is as I am planning on doing more to my car. Thanks!

The 335iS clutch (same as 550i/650i) holds a twin turbo V8's torqueband. Think about that. It's plenty for everything short of a single turbo setup.
I had one in my 335i, it was making 470wtq. It performed flawlessly for almost 30k KM until I sold the car.

People keep saying to go with spec stage 2+ or 3+ and I'm confused, it's so hard to pick a clutch lol

I just got the spec stage 2+, literally feels like oem pedal wise, and grabs slightly aggressively. Its full face and really easy on take offs. I paired it with an mfactory smfw, has chatter on idle under 850rpm, nothing an idle increase via flash cant fix.
Bought it off Mike N54tuning for the best price i could find in canada, considering currency and shipping/border fees. Picked it up locally. |
