damn 144k!!! i love nice cars that have high mileage. Everyone is shocked to see our e53 04 x5 had 200k and running great. I think a car is pretty much done at 160-170k if it starts to give some tranny issues. Always better to have a spare daily though :-)

Just hit 45k on my 325xi the other day. Nothing major done on it while I've been the owner except some timing or w/e fixed when the car wouldn't start. It just kept cranking and didn't start for some reason.

93k on my 335. I've slowed down a lit, though since I bought another car to drive around last October!

Figure this.... cars are a lot more reliable these days than they used to be. So what do manufacturers do, make it seem like they need a lot less maintenance so they eventually break, to even out the diference. Sorry, there is no such thing as life time warranty tranny oil.... or 25 0000 miles oil changes. yes, the car will have no major problem during the waranty but if you keep up this maintenance schedule, the car will start having issues soon after.... Take the new technology and apply the old school maintenance and you'll see a car last 20 year easily....

50240 miles on my 2006 330i. Replaced front windsheild due to a rock chip(Allstate) and 4 new Michelin Run Flats ($1300). Other than that, no problems

73k on my 330i. I bought it back in Aug with 70k on it. I had to replace a driver rear wheel bearing and a broken head bolt. Runs great and no other issues.

2006 325i. Bought it used since April of 09. at around 66k now. Replaced breaks, battery, iDrive controller twice, replaced gasket for oil leak at around 35k. And three sets of cam/exhaust sensor (in my fourth set now... ) dealer said it has something to do in the engine.. but taking the head off along in labor cost 1500+... and that might not even be the problem.. so im just gonna leave it alone...
