MFEST 2013

MFEST 2013

Well, dates are announced, (tentatively pending all contracts are signed) May 24-26, 2013. So that means its time to start planning things out.

I pulled all the info from our last MFest trip so here it is. I know its early but everyone need to plan and ask off for time. I will post up more info as the time gets closer and if you have a questions let me know. Lets get a big group to go again!

Itinerary:
5/16 Thurs -For those of us up north (Fort Collins/Loveland/Longmont), we can meet up along the way if we want off I-25 but we should make it quick, as to make it to the meeting point on time. Meet west side of Denver between 6-630am, I-70 Morrison Exit #259. (see steps below to find) There is a Conoco gas station there we can all get topped off if needed and get some early morning snacks. Be at the gas station at no later then 630am so we can all gather and meet each other incase we haven’t yet and that way we can get off on the road close to 645. Its a right once off the interstate then a left at the light that is about 1/8 mile up...go down about 1/4 mile or so and you will see the gas station on the right/HUGE park n ride lot on the left.

1030-11am Stop in Grand Junction for Lunch/Gas, meet up with Jim and whoever else in that area is joining him. Also a group from Texas will be meeting us in Grand Junction. The group should be around 5-8 cars.

---- Horizon Drive exit, Turn right and immediate left into the Shell station. Take up pump as you can and the rest form line and then park in back of the shell, or go across the street to Wendys for lunch.

1130-12p Leave GJ and head along the way...wont need gas until Beaver Utah (15 miles south of the I-70/I-15 juncture), and meet up with any Utah or whoever else Mfester's from that area. (arrive around 230-3pm) to Beaver (large gas station at first exit and on the right, next to Wendy's)

3-330pm Arrive/Leave Beaver for Vegas, meet up with PNW caravan. Large gas station at first exit and on the right, next to Wendy's.

5-530pm PACIFIC time, Arrive in Vegas (its about 3 or so hours from Beaver)

5/17 Leave Palazzo early like 8am and head to meet up with the local Mfesters at the M resort and then head to jean around 8:40 or so, arrive Jean at 9 meet up with the Socal caravan.

Please remember all times are tentative for arrival/departure locations. Time has been added to account for large number of participants/cars. As a caravan, if one person from a car needs to stop at a rest stop to take a pit stop, the whole caravan should stop as well as a courtesy.

******Pre-Mfest Meet at Bandimere opening weekend of Bandimere & CU Sports Car Show******
TBD

**********Items you may want to bring for the trip************************

- MFEST confirmation page (paypal receipt) just to be safe
- 2 way radios/walkie talkies(post up who has some and how many you have)
- radar detector
- tools to repair things if needed/as needed
- snacks and beverages
- binoculars to keep an eye out on the road ahead (because sometimes the V1 picks up a faint signal from 3 miles off in the right conditions)
- cd's/mp3 player, we will see many times where the radio doesnt work (unless you have sat radio, then good on ya!)

Let me know if there is anything else you may think is needed to add to this list!!!

It depends on the timing of the registration and how long it stays open. Our MFEST money just went to pay for a trip to Mexico for our friends wedding that we are in. So funds will be skimpy until March or so.

Also a MFest crew from Texas will be meeting us Thursday morning in Grand Junction. I have been organizing the caravan with them and it looks like they will have around 10 cars driving to Grand Junction Wed and leaving with us Thursday morning. So we should have a big caravan this year!

Hey everyone,

Wanted to let you guys know that we could possible have a MFest/Colorado vinyl decal made for everyone going to MFest this year.

If you want to create a design let me know and I can have it printed off. I think it would be kinda cool to have something that would separate us from the Colorado and let everyone know we drove from Colorado. You can make it any size for either windows or to place it on the body of the car. Let me know what you guys think!

You can email me your designs at smdauber@gmail.com

Hey guys,

Here is a design for the Colorado Sticker:

[IMG][/IMG]

I know the colors are a little off, my buddy designed it and said it was a screen shot so thats why the colors are off. Let me know what you guys think and we can have them printed up.

We can print them using vinyl so we can stick them anywhere on the car it wont cause any damage. Plus we can make them any size.

I am doubtful to be able to go now. I have a friends wedding I am attending in Mexico end of this month and then a friends engagement party in Cali at end of April. Funds will be short and I think going to Mfest is where the funds will have to come out of. It sucks, I want to go so bad, but, other priorities came up, not to mention time off work for these events. Time will tell, but it isnt looking good for me.

We should have between 6-10 people going. We should also have 10-20 cars from the Midwest joining us.
