Got mine up and running. I think I'm going to run more meth and go bigger on the nozzles.

Right now runing the 175 and 220 nozzles, but I figure can go bigger for more flow. Was able to eek out 345whp and 405tq on a MAHA dyno (map 9) which reads much lower than a dynojet.

Which nozzles are you currently running, FB?

Is it true that running meth at 13-14 PSI will over work your turbo's? I was reading this in the other threads but it didnt seem to make sense

our turbos are efficient at 14 psi so no worries.

who told you that?

I was reading it during this convo. I just got the Dinan S2 with the Dinan Intake and ran 12.7. I wanted to see if meth would make a difference since the dinan software adapts to octane levels

FMIC will give you some slight gains, but it will make your turbo's work less for the power.

DP's are probably the harder of the installs, give you a little more groan in the exhaust and power should be felt pretty decent.

Meth, best bang for the buck, I run 17 PSI on my setup and I just have a DCI. My ignition timing is full too with 10+ from 4000 RPM.

Devils own basic kit is about $280 and thats realistically all you need (and an m7 or m10 nozzle) I run m10.

Downside of meth is it over-works the turbos especially on a stock intercooler, but if your not worried about longevity of the turbo's then whatever.

Another plus side of meth is power doesnt degrade as much between back to back pulls.

I run 14 psi, a .31 shot of nitrous, and 1400 ml/min of methanol. I end up with turbos in efficiency range, IATs about 30F below ambient, very good octane enhancement, and about 525 rwhp... on pump gas.
One of my customers wants to crank it to 19 psi and dump meth on top of it but I'm trying to talk him out of it. I would settle for 15-17 and put a lot of meth on it. He was also curious about spraying it as well but I figure we do the mods one step at a time.

14psi with meth and nitrous sounds a wee bit safer.

I think what JP is saying is that he is running more boost and that can reduce the longevity of the turbos because of the high rpms they are spinning at. Methanol at the same boost level will not hurt your turbos at all. In fact there are many positives to running it.

Matt it really does. The false stigma with nitrous drives some away from it, but I think this is the ideal DME to be running nitrous on. It is simply remarkably fast in its ability to react.

O ok cool. Thanks for the insight and clarification. I am currently working on a setup where I can install the meth line up to the exit pipe of the intercooler instead of the charge pipe.

In my opinion not wise. You eliminate any liquid from making it to cylinder where we really want to remove heat (during combustion process) and you will have very little octane benefits.

lol oh man... I guess i might have to go without it...

The dinan intake goes over that whole area and I wanted it to be either completely hidden or easy to remove.

You can mount it under the elbow easily out of sight of anything. If not, try the elbow and see the results. Maybe a touch more water at that distance would be worth trying?

So I guess mounting a different nozzle elbow like this and installing it where the arrows are pointing?

NOTE: I'll be running the St.2, so don't have that fancy controller you have in the ashtray.

Why not put in under the rubber surround near the brake fluid reservoir? That is a great place to tuck some items.

Hi there guys

1st post on e90.

Quick question to the OP or anyone that knows, i know this is a old thread but does anyone have any rough estimate how fast the Boost juice snow performance sells runs out?

Will be using 175ml and 225ml nozzles, and this will be dependant of course on how much you use it.

Any rough estimates, I'm in the UK and I'm a cheap ass for shipping costs, and want to know how much i should grab.

You realize snow rates there nozzles at 60 psi? don't make the mistake i did and buy too big of nozzles ... thats a 220psi pump ...

use the 60ml/min and the 100ml/min that came with the kit ...

For anyone else thinking of doing this, I just went through the process to pull that black tray out and given the choice of words FBIS used, I was thinking it would be a walk in the park. "just drop down under the car and remove the other bolts until the tray comes loose."

Well, it was not _quite_ that easy. Some of the bolts are hidden by the heatshields above the muffler, not quite too easy to see, and they are a pain in the ass to remove. Not a lot of space to get a wrench or ratchet in there.

Hopefully this helps save someone else a little time. This is definitely an ideal spot for the pump.
