BMW Assist ???

Does the hands free calling via the bluetooth work if you don't have BMW Assist. I have read all the write-ups on the Assist and it seems to be vague.

I am trying to figure out if it is worth renewing. It seems like some of these feature that we pay for are not available in Canada.

ofcoarse bluetooth will still work. BMW assist is just a service plan, but the bluetooth is built-in the car.
