Help!!! Need an answer

I was trying to install a strut bar but broke a bolt. I will go to dealer to get it fixed but I need to know if it's still safe to drive. Thanks,

You can drive these cars without the strut brace in its entirety at the expense of some flex in the front. Don't worry about it; do get it fixed though.

I think the broken bolt is one of the three which hold the suspension.

Oh - I misunderstood and thought you wanted to drive without the brace.

There's three bolts that hold the strut, I believe. You'll be fine to drive to the dealer with just two. I wouldn't take it to the track like that though.

Thank you. Do you think it's a good time to change the spring since I have to pay the labour?

No, only change the springs in pairs. Also if the strut has to be removed, you'll need an alignment.

This guy had almost the exact same issue as you:

I made exactly the same mistake as that guy. It is 35 Nm not 35 lb ft.

I got it fixed at RMP. They replaced the bolt for me. Looks like they didn't take off the wheel and it took them only 20 minutes.
