Don't ask for money...that is cheeseball and low class. I'm not just saying that because Mark. It just is.

You don't have to select a certain quantity of stuff. Just stuff you'd both need/like. Once those are purchased many people will just give you cash anyway.

I never stated you were trying to make a dig at me, all im saying is whats wrong with giving money, and I think i phrased it wrong, you shouldnt request money, but hope that they go the easy route and just give you money. That was all I was trying to say

In the West asking or requesting money is not the norm, but in the far east, its normal, a chinese or vietnamese wedding is all cash envelopes to the groom before entering the reception. These days I think weddings are a complete sham, yes I know its the way thr west and christians do it, but a waste, seems to me the money would be better spent from the wedding on a house or savings for the baby..but thats me....all mys sisters had the reception in our backyard, but we had 3 acres and it huge. I dont go to weddings either, unless a destination wedding in a place thats fun, I send a gift. But thats me..
