kinda reviving an old thread but something caught my eye...OP said you could stream music from ipod or iphone via bluetooth I believe...which pkg do you need to be able to do this?..if you have premium pkg?...thx...I really like this feature and was wondering a 10' 335D with premium would allow this function??

Edit: Read through this thread, it will help explain the set up: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...+Music+Gateway If you decide to go with it, I think I have my old parts, which I'll sell you at a good discount (I upgraded to the Combox, so I don't need the old set up anymore).

I was looking to do this without buying aftermkt parts...even a VW Jetta has this bluetooth feature now without hooking up the phone to anything...will let you stream from your iphone from ipod, pandora, spotify and etc...no need for any wires...guess bmw doesnt haver this feature yet.

BMW has it now (BMW apps), but didn't have it during your model year. I have a 2011, and had to add the newer components, then have the car coded for the components.
It's a shame, cause like you mention, it's commonplace now. I think even a Chevy cruze has the feature, at least as an option.

Works fine for Spotify with locally-synched playlists though, but sometimes the display information doesn't change when it goes to the next song. Not sure if that's a bug with the spotify app, or BMW's software. Also I stream podcasts using Downcast. I never listen to the radio anymore.

I run about 17-25 Gigabytes at month. Streaming Live TV (Slingbox) does that. Sounds great in the car though. And yes, I have a 2012 Nissan that came standard with streaming bluetooth audio also.

I bought a bluetooth streaming device for 60.00 on Amazon made by Belkin...works great...hooks up easy using 3.5mm jack and gets power via lighter plug.
Only negative is sound quality is just ok...no bass what so ever....but convenient. Quote:

Actually you would be surprised by how much tracks vary. After making many runs you will find how remarkably consistent the vbox is. Sometimes I can even pick out differences between the drag strip lanes. As far as slopes...mine is within .16% which is flatter than many drag strips. I was going to start doing some more 1/4 mile work....but after just hsving the EGR recall...the car feels very weak. I confirmed it with the vbox...as the car only traps 97mphto now. Its crazy. I should have refused the recall. Has anyone else experienced reduction of power post-recall?
