SOS not working randomly.....

So since I have gotten this car in Aug of 2011, i have several random times when the SOS just hasn't worked when I turned the car on and when that happens the whole nav/sat radio/radio/iDrive system doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue, is it an easy fix, a fuse, or something serious about to go down and cost me big bucks? Thanks for any and all help.

I had one of those yesterday after installing 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4S. Every call I made on the iPhone wouldn't switch over to the car, nor would it mute the music, despite the fact that the car and phone were paired.

I restored the phone, repaired it with the car, and it worked ok this morning. From what I gather, it can be triggered by the bluetooth connection.

i have a euro car

can someone see if this is true

The problem for U.S. cars, we don't have SA612 for Assist, rather we have SA639 (BMW Assist with Bluetooth), and if you remove SA639, you also loose Bluetooth. I am not sure how to remove Assist, and add just Bluetooth. I will play around with it some more though and see if I can figure it out. Let me know if you are able to get yours working, and if so, how.

the TCU controls the bluetooth. but if you have usb/aux in on your car, you can code in SA664 to activate the bluetooth on the MULF module. else you need do a 6FL retrofit to get the bluetooth back if you remove the assist option.
