Good luck bro, I just hardwired my charger to come out of my trim and it works and looks great. You wont be upset

Nope, took the center trim on the dash, the one with the start stop button off, ran threw glove compartment, out bottom of that, along the side panel into my charger in my ashtray area. Perfect

Did you buy the magnet from niteize or 123cartriges? the 123 thing is fake and the reviews on that product is horrible. hopefully you didnt go with that...

i just bought one of these for my motorola droid razr maxx. i was a little skeptical that the magnet wouldn't be strong enough to hold my phone in place with the cover on, but i have to say, unless you touch it, the thing doesn't move! here are a few shitty camera pics i took:

I was thinking about the phone battery.
A friend of mine had this leather case for hos phone with a magnet lock, and he had to get rid of it because it drained the battery.

Looks like a good holder for your phone

Hi,

Just got my steelie mount from Nite Ize. Had it shipped from Colorado to London, Uk in under 48 hrs. I am using a iPhone 4.

Really clean, strong mount would definitely recommend.

I just bought this but the 3M tape that holds the big magnet to the dash is not strong at all. After removing my phone from the dash it came off. I had to get new 3M tape to hold the magnet to the dash again. After a few tries it also got "non sticky".

One would pretty much need to keep around extra 3M tape for this to work 100% otherwise it could fall off anytime when the tape dries up.

I absolutely agree. Same thing happened to me. It gets hot here in Houston and when it does, the bigger magnet does not stick. Not worth it.
