Lost Service Records
Hey guys,
Earlier this year I was intending on trading in the 335i for something different from a local dealership. I brought the car in with everything I had as well as my file full of service records. After some deliberating however, I decided to keep the BMW. I thought all was well, but then I realized yesterday that I have no clue where my service records are. I am almost positive the dealership never gave them back. I left a message and am awaiting a response, but do you guys have any advice on how to proceed? There was documentation of turbos, injectors, DME, HPFP, and countless other things.... I can't imagine how I could get even close to the cars worth in a sale without them. Thanks in advance |

Everything was done by a BMW dealership except for the DME which was replaced by Eurotech ~ 6 mos. ago. Will BMW dealerships have records archived?

You could try emailing the SA at the BMW dealership. I've had quick responses every time I've emailed them.
And why not do the same for Eurotech? They should be able to print you a copy of whatever work was done. |

I'm in a similar situation.. Bought a 2009 335i with 60k from a BMW dealer. Saw the service records and asked for a copy, never got the copy after purchasing. Any SA's on here wanna run my vin for me lol?

I think that since you have had the services done at a BMW facility, you are entitled to the past maintenance records during your ownership. I would contact your SA and ask for a history printout of the maintenance you've paid for. Any other records previous may not be forthcoming, but your paid records you can always ask for. Btw. In addition to the scanned receipts, I maintain a master spreadsheet on my car's maintenance. Those records are worth a lot in private resale, but not so much at auction unless in the high end market
