Where do YOU mount your crossovers?

I had the hardest time mounting the crossovers for my MB Quarts inside my door. It rattles, and isn't very secure. It doesn't feel safe and I want to relocate them somewhere else. Where do you guys mount your crossovers?

I am thinking of gluing a piece of MDF to the inside of the door trim. Perhaps with liquid nails and then screwing the crossovers to that.
I would like to use velcro, but am worried that the glue on the velcro will come unstuck with the heat over time.

In my E39 I had them mounted in the trunk. I'm not sure if the E90's or E92's have a space like this to mount crossovers. See attached pic.

this would need re-wiring
there is plenty of room in the doors, as I don't think there are any air-bags in there.
It is just a matter of how to fix them.

wow, that's big - do you have a photo?
the DLS 4 has two crossovers, but there's plenty of room behind the door panel.

I would take a picture but there's no way in hell I'm taking off my door panel again, unless I'm upgrading speakers

It's the MB Quart RVF 210 component set.
