Rapid decline of Residual value for the 3 series
The lease of my 323i is ending this December, I was planning to buy it back initially. However, I saw the new 2009 323i residual value is now at $18,148 for 3 years compare to mine at $22,755. I wonder why there's such a big difference although the dealer trade-in estimate from Canadian Blackbook now is almost identical? Does it make sense to back it back anymore? Thanks!

If I were you, unless you love everything about your car, I'd trade in the car and get yourself into a different one ... maybe a CPO one with extra warranty. You might actually end up saving. A 3-year old 323i should be going for less $22,755 right now imo. |
