Logic 7 kills good music.!!!!!
Hi to all of you. Perhaps your not really satiesfied with your System professionel "Logic 7" .? I can tell you this though, no matter how expensive a new speaker system your planning to replace the oem speakers with. It ain't gonna solve the real problem. Here's a littel sample of what i did.
This post is only intended as a guidens to thouse who want more then what they got all ready, witout sacrifising any visual space.I did a more agressive post at Bimmerfest if you wanna check it out for detailed info about why and what . Then serch this http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...704&highlight= Ps if you'r happe with your oem sound, then good for you. Last edited by hudmamma; 11-09-2009 at 04:48 AM.. |

Nice! I am planning to do something very similar:
L7 amp > BitOne.1 > JL Audio HD600/4 > Focal 100 KP (front doors) & Earthquake SWS-8 (underseat) Thanks for sharing your install since it has already given me some good ideas, like not needing an adapter for the Focal mids and mounting them directly to the door panel. I already have all the pieces but I need to find time for the install. Should be done within a month. |

Focal speaker install
Hi kaigoss69. You need to know ,that they don't fit just like like that.!!!
Here's som pictures . And i have to say that , changing the oem sub's is a wast of money. Im a real bass fanatic, so belive me when i tell u ,the oem sub's is pumping verry deep and fat bas out.I added 3 layers of sound deadening to the enclosure. Last edited by hudmamma; 11-09-2009 at 04:48 AM.. |

The final touch.
The final touch to get around the high level input( that comes from the L7 speaker out) have to be something like the mObridge DA1000 Preamp . That way you get the fiber optic cable (coming from the headunit) "directly " into the bit one. unfortunately this baby is almost the same price as the Bit one. Haven't found another solution

I already have the SWS-8's installed, running off a 300W Blaupunkt mono amp. The difference between the OEM subs and the SWS, in terms of bass output, is substantial! The OEM subs, with proper amplification, do a very nice job in the lower midbass area (~ 80 - 120 Hz), but cannot hold a candle to the Earthquakes in the frequencies below that.

Really ? Hmm well did you test the oem sub's with your Blaupunkt ? In my setup the oem sub's is reaching unbeliveable low ends .!Anyway if your happy, that's all that matters.

Hi VP. You seam to know something about this product. My question to you is. Do you know another way to get the fiber optic cable ( coming from Headunit) converted into a normal toslink .? The Bit one can recive a toslink input. Im asking because the mObridge Preamp DA1000 Is expensive hahaha

Yes, I ran them off the Blaupunkt for about a month or so. They were very accurate and tight, but the low end was just disappointing (expected) and the power handling was insufficient as well (also expected).

oem subs
There must be different oem subs i guess. Otherwise mine would have Crashed and burn . feeding them with a 815 watts amp !!!!! I don't have any of your issue

No, the L7 subs are all the same. I can pretty much guarantee you that you will not get a linear frequency response with the oem subs, even if you have them hooked up to a 815W amp. They are physically not capable of handling anything over 150W each, probably much less than that (I was able to get them to pop with a 300W amp and the signal was definitely clean). 407.5W to each of those subs would make for nice seat warmers!!!
