2007.5 (May 2007 build) Montego Blue on Saddle 335i Coupe

With much dismay I sadly am selling my car. With the May built ("2007.5") car you get all the mid year upgrades including the electronic LSD (that works pretty darn good).

6 speed Auto
Paddle Shifters
Premium Package
Sport Package (yes that includes the oil cooler)
Comfort Access
Sirius Satellite Radio (paid for next 1.5 years too)
Ipod Adapter with USB Interface
No it does not have the maddening I-Drive (I'd get NAV in a BMW once they figure out how to do one correctly).

Original MSRP was $48,570 before tax.
For early 2008 models which has no changes it's also $48,570
For post March 2008 cars the price is a few hundred bucks higher now.

To this I added:
19" Velocity Motoring CSL Wheels ($1000)
General Exclaim UHP Tires (235 front / 265 rear) ($700)
OEM BMW Aero Front Lip Spoiler ($500)
Clear Bra (full front and side mirrors) ($550)
Tinted Windows ($250)
K&N Drop In Filter ($65)


This is a 36 month lease that started June 2007 at 12K miles per year.
Car has only 6,100 miles on it now.
Oil has been changed twice already. Once at 1600 miles and again just a few weeks ago with around 5900 miles.
Both times with fully synthetic 5W-30 oil and BMW OEM oil filter.

Car is always garaged.
Never been in an accident of any kind
No kids
No stains, rips, tears, scratches to leather or interior.
We don't smoke so it's never been smoked in.
Car hasn't even been driven in the rain.
Never been tracked.

Car is as clean and well taken care of as you will find. It needs absolutely nothing!

Just take over my lease payments of $710 per month which INCLUDES California sales tax.
And I will pay the $450 fee that BMW charges to take over a lease.
You need to put NO money down (I put down $1000 when I leased the car in June) and the above listed additions I put on are at NO extra cost to you.

Oh and the reason for letting my beloved 335i go:

1. I'm working a lot and that only allows me to drive the car on the weekends now. I don't drive the car to work.
2. I just sold my home and am buying a new one (that'll be 2.5x as much). So my weekends are now taken up packing and moving (twice...see below).
3. Since we haven't found our new home as of right now, we will be staying in a friend of a friends guest house for 2-4 months (no garage so I don't want to park the car on the street). If nobody takes over the lease by May 5th, the car will be parked at my wife's work in her private parking spot in her gated and monitored below ground parking garage in Pacific Palisades.
4. It's time for us to start to try and have a baby.

So as of right now and the upcoming 3-5 months, I just have bigger fish to fry and will just be too busy to enjoy the car much anymore.
It's always primarily been my weekend car and not my daily driver, but I just don't see me driving the car much at all in the next 3-5 months.
So cutting the $710 a month bill will be ok with me.

I'm not selling the car to replace it with anything at the moment.
I love the 335i Coupe, and whomever takes over this lease will too.

No, I did not order the car with the I-Drive.
I heard way to many bad things about I-Drive and how it's basically the worst and most disliked Nav/computer controlled set up in the business.

Plus I hated the 2nd hump in the dash which also looked ugly.

If it doesn't go soon, I'll put it in storage for a couple months (driving it only once or twice a month) and then continue to enjoy it more often after we move into the new house.

Love the car, as everyone who has a 335i does...hard not too.
It'll suck to have to have it in storage for a month or two (only taking it out once every two weeks to keep it "fresh")
But, if that's what's needed, that's what I'll do.

Well, I've yet to bring myself to advertise the car in auto/lease trader

But have not had any serious buyers from this month old thread "ad" yet.

For the past several weeks the car has been in a secure/enclosed storage garage and only taken out twice to drive around for a bit.
With all the talk of the new V81 DME giving enthusiasts a hard time with mods, I figured I'd update this thread and bump it to the top....and highlighting a couple "bonus" points:

1. This is a "2007.5" post March 2007 build car (May 2007 to be exact).
That means it has ALL the "fixed" issues with early built 2007 cars as well as a few of the "upgrades/changes" that came with it.
2. It has the eLSD (electronic Limited Slip Differential) While no Quaife LSD, it works pretty darn good, and compared to my early 2007 build 335i sedan, the post March 2007 build cars with the eLSD won't just spin one wheel all the time if you get on the gas in a corner.
3. And unlike the new post March 2008 built cars, this one does NOT have the new troublesome V81 ECU that is now mod "unfriendly", so you are free to mod this car however you want.

In short, the March 2007-February 2008 built cars seem to be the best of the bunch, and this car is one of them.

So, there you go. I will see one more time if anybody on this site is interested in my pristine, wonderful car.

maybe i'm a noobie here but what exactly are the issues with early built 2007 cars? I know there is HPFP issues but I thought it's for all years...

Hun, by "issues" I mostly meant "issue" and the HPFP was pretty much it.
True there were a few early post March 2007 built cars who still had HPFP fail, but most think those were leftover "old" HPFP's. I don't really know of many, if any, failures of the HPFP past April 2007 built cars.
As for other "issues" it was pretty much a blanket statement, as with all car manufacturers, the earliest cars of a new model usually have some little bugs that need to be worked out. The post March 2007 (2007.5) built cars is the first "change" BMW made to the 335i and therefore they'd also fix any little bugs they found in the early 2007 built 335i's.

BTW, for those interested in buying, buyout price is $42k (and again that includes the mods that cost over $3k).
Buy a brand new 2008 Coupe now (with the new crappy ECU) and put these same mods on the car and it will cost you close to $52,000 BEFORE TAX!!

Sorry stock wheels not available, I basically "gave" them to a friend with a e90 325i.
By "gave" I mean I sold them to him for super cheap.
He then sold the car and got a 335i anyway.
