Help...Smoke coming out of new exhaust

Just install cat back exhaust and i notice smoke coming out when engine is hot. it's been five day and still coming out. Is that normal or something seriously wrong??

totally normal... including the nasty burnt smell. Depending on how much you drive the car, it'll stick around for a little while during the break-in period of the new mufflers.

The fiberglass packing/dampening material in the mufflers needs to cooked as well as exhuaust with resonators...The smoke and the smell will eventually subside.

Thanks guys,I feel better now. Going to give it another few days. I've been getting the middle finger by driver behind me especially the guys driving vert...

Funny! I've not had any problems of such sort with my AE Exhaust and my AR downpipes.

Are you sure that no packing pellets got inside of your exhaust?

I thought it was that to and brought it back to my shop and complained, they check it out again and nothing.

I just had my AR catless downpipes installed yesterday along with the AFE exhaust. I had smoke and a weird smell as well. Hopefully it goes away soon.
