good thing to replace.
I have snapped two pairs of UUC bushings in half along with a two UUC engine mounts. I have also cracked the actual tranny support on the e36. TQ baby! I may be contacting you for these. I have put back in stockers which feel like butter compared to the UUC reds with cups. most likely too soft.

Can you explain why it is not necessary for automatics?
I would think an upgraded transmission mounts would benefit all parties... my $0.02 ;o Last edited by pwner4once; 03-08-2013 at 02:44 AM.. |

Automatics don't require any shift action by the driver nor does not have linkages that moves during shifting that can possibly become misaligned to the transmission. |

They add very little vibration, but can control a lot of the unwanted transmission movement during acceleration and shifting.

I replaced my original mounts at 100k miles with these. Less drivetrain slop, and hardly any additional vibration - perhaps just a tad at high revs, but I'm hyper sensitive. Feels more solid, esp with new engine mounts.

Replacing my turbos. Have a good bundle deal on these and better engine mounts? If not, what engine mounts would you pair with these for a mild track car? Attend around 15 autocross and 7 road course events a year.

You are correct. Car shifts much better
Rob, you are absolutely correct in your observations. I just installed these on my 335i e93 and the difference is quite noticeable. The shifts are imperceptible, there are no more gaps between gears. Take off is continuous without release of torque...basically it just goes until you get to top gear or let off the gas.
If one did not have ears, I think it would be extremely difficult for one to tell when the gears shift. I am flabbergasted at the difference in shifting performance. A no brainer at this price point and ease of installation. VT |
