Hi everyone!

I searched throughout the forums, but is still somewhat undecided on a few things. I plan on modding my car to make it stronger than stock; however, I am not looking for a track car. So I have a few questions to ask my fellow 335i owners.

So far, I have COBB and BMS DCI.

I plan on getting a FMIC next for sure, and possibly DPs.

After reading numerous amounts of posts and topics, I am still somewhat undecided on what parts to get. I just plan on running COBB Stage 2+. So would any FMIC be appropriate?

I have pretty much undecided between:
Helix
HPF
ETS
VRSF

Not sure which one to pick... I keep reading this one is better, that one is better.. For my "casual" stage 2+ needs... would they all basically be the same? I read that you can only feel the difference in HPF when you are going 100+ mph, which I do not think I would be going anywhere near that fast.

For DPs, I pretty planned on getting VRSF downpipes; unless, someone suggest something else.

All suggestions will be much appreciated!

Try e85 blends before doing anymore mods. If that isn't available you can buy a methanol elbow or charge pipe and a meth kit for about $500 and have a profession Cobb tune. If you don't want to do that know that downpipe install is difficult.

If it was me, id get dps before fmic. And if i was buying dps. Id go for bms, i was extremely pleased with the product and by the looks, much nicer than vrsf.

And go for e85. Its a huge difference even if its only 4gallons per tank

my only hesitation with DPs is failing inspection when the time comes. Also, I heard dealerships are more likely to nail you for DPs than anything else. How well does the BMS fix work?

I mean from what i understand... unless im mistaken... downpipes are downpipes.. only issue between brands are fitment issues. From threads, it seems tiago has excellent customer service; so I think it should be ok.

For FMIC, i know there is more involved.. I want something that I can easily part out and reinstall OEM IC. So far I think that HPF would be the easiest to swap back? I heard Helix is pretty easy as well. Can anyone confirm?

If you wanna go cheap power go E85/meth, if you want to get really great turbo spool and overall driveability at high cost go with intercooler and down pipe and a pro tune either way if you have access to a tuner.

hmmm, i know JB4 and Procede have automapping that can adjust to E85. Does COBB have something like that? Or would I need a protune to adapt to e85?

I'm not sure, probably a pro tune. Pro tune will give you better results than off the shelf maps.
