Secondhand Procede

I just bough a second hand procede from Sept last year and the owner couldn't tell me if its locked. I note that on the site say they come unlocked now. Is that just a matter of installing the new firmware to remove the lock or do they have to be sent to the USA?

It most likely needs to be unlocked by me. There is a new firmware coming that is not yet released that will do this, but it is not available yet. Any new units that are unlocked are not unlocked with firmware. They have something in the memory in the unit that tells the firmware to unlock them using old firmware. That memory can only be programmed by Vishnu (me) and unlocking can only be done by me. So you choice is to send it to me, or wait for the new firmware.

You can check if it is locked by putting it in your car and seeing if the Dash MIL light flashes.

Cheers,

Adrian

We are working on a few changes for our ethanol support that are holding things up a little. Hopefully should be over the next few weeks.

Any clues as to whether this will include auto tuning of ethanol fuel mixes or will it still be set 50/50 mix percentage maps?

We have had autotuning of ethanol mixes for a long time. It requires a flex fuel sensor to be added.
