Want to protect new OEM Headlights ( LAMIN X ?? )
Hello All,
I may be receiving a new set of AHL HID headlight housings from BMW, One of my lights started leaking in moisture while under warranty and a few days ago the 2nd one did as well. They replaced the one a few months ago and I will probably have the second replaced this week. At this point I have 0 pitting and they look brand new. LaminX makes awesome products and I have installed it many time on housings I have refurbished in the past which has kept them looking like day 1 for years. Is there any issue applying this on my HID BMW housings? Its CLEAR film made for headlight housings : https://www.lamin-x.com/BMW-E90-Seda...nly-p/b518.htm Thanks,

Lamin x is awful. Sorry but as a qualified master wrapping technition trained in all types of vinyl and light tint films I can tell you lamin x is not a good product. The above link is a far greater film imo.

I have a friend who owns a high end vinyl shop that did my lights in the past and the film he uses is think like LUX mentioned above.

Cool I dont know why everyone wouldn't do this to there cars, Lights get beat up and this keeps them looking like day one for so little money and effort.

Thanks for the info on the Xpel product. I've been wanting to replace my clear protectors for a while - they're 7 years old and slightly hazing.
Questions for anyone who has done this - do the old factory protectors just peel off easily? Do you have to do anything to get the residue off? Do you have to treat the headlamp assembly with anything prior to applying the new protector film? thanks!
