Engine oil choice

I got a quote from a mechanic that they will use Liqui Moly instead of BMW LL-01. He claimed that it exceeds the OEM standard, may I ask for your opinion?

And he said that the oil filter is Hengst, which is OEM parts?

I am thinking should I buy the BMW LL-01 oil for the mechanic in changing my engine oil.

OIL

Liqui Moly is a fine motor oil and I would he happy to stock there product line and may do soon, the rep comes in every month and goes away with out a sale.

This is because the BMW community wont accept anything other than Castrol LL01 5/30 or TSW 10/60, Hey and that is also a great product.

We no longer have the MOTUL product for that same reason

Is anyone running Liqui Moly in their 335's - did you notice much difference to your oil temps and/or performance?

Personally I can see no issue with using another manufacturer's LL01 approved product, and in the case of a new car under manufacturers warranty there should be no issue also.

The reason why I use castrol/Mobil LL01 oils over Liqui moly is purely price more then anything (liqui moly is a lot more expensive to buy than its competitors)
