You know, when I had my 335i (gone as of 3:00 PM today... ) with Advan's, Alcon's, AE exhaust, tint and M3 spoiler, I was rarely spotted. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'm now really not likely to be spotted in my new "you CANNOT mod this says the wife" X5 35d. Alpine White with black/anthracite interior....

I am digging the diesel X5 though. My "fun toy" is now my Suzuki Gladius motorcycle. That is what I'll ride when my left foot is feeling neglected....

congrats. i like the lci a lot. how's the torque from the diesel engine? let me know after you've broken it in.

even tho the wife says you can't mod it, i know that it's just a matter of time before something get's touched. lol

hit up mark wu for a cf wrap. it's not going to break the bank and you'll love the upgraded look. that's what i'll be doing as soon as we get the x5 too.

I think it's a pre-LCI actually. 2011 is the LCI model, and I prefer the pre-LCI. The fog lights are moved to a less attractive location (more inboard.) Other than that, I haven't quite figured out all the differences. Mine was built 3/18/10. It was a dealer demo, so it already has 3,600 miles on it.

The torque is pretty good, especially since I'm driving around in DS. But my previous SUV (Dodge Durango) had 245 HP and 375 TQ, so not a whole lot less than this diesel (265 HP and 425 TQ.) Naturally, being a V8, that TQ came higher up in the rev range..

Now, compared to the 335i, it pulls pretty hard, but with an extra 2,000 lbs that needs motivating, it isn't quite as fast.

And, any mods I happen to get away with are going to be "stealth" mods, at least for now. She'll notice a CF wrap interior. Not sure what I'll be able to get away with....

Saw an AW E92 335i with Mtech kits got pulled over on the I-5 Noth around 189 exit. It was an Asian teenager with an Aisan gril sitting on the passenger side around 10AM~10:30AM (maybe).

Also just saw a Silver LCI E90 328i with Mtech Kits at the Seattle Airport around 12AM.

The torque is pretty nice on the diesel engines. BMW Northwest gave me a 2011 335D w/ 995 miles on it for a loaner this week

Too bad they only come in an automatic

I was just lookin at johnny lin's pics from that Winthrop drive and I noticed a dude I saw out street racing in everett one night, he drives a really dark blue, almost black E46 M3 on CSL's and a mostly painted carbon fiber trunk with the cinnamin leather interior.

I will most likely spot you at one point. I lived in Marysville back in the day and frequently go up there to visit some friends..... But I rarely drive the M up there.....

Saw a White pre-LCI E93 335i with rear Mtech bumper. Couldn't see the front. This was northbound on I-5 to Everett heading away from the I-5 incident. I was in my dropped JB E92 pre LCI w/ no front plate.

I also have an Arctic White 328 in the Maple Valley/Kent area. It has German tags on it still, at least for another week.
