Will DSC Malfunction cause Car to go into Safe Mode?

I changed out my intake manifold, and while doing so forgot to plug the DSC back in. Its too hard to get to, so I need a lift at this point to plug it back in. So the car runs, but I have DSC Malfunction on the Navigation Screen. The car starts rough, and idles fine, but there is no power. Feels like I am driving a Honda. Can the 325i go into safe/limp mode because of a DSC malfunction? Anything on the dash tell you when you are in this mode?

Are you sure its the DSC plug? Maybe it's some sensor the car needs for DSC and engine management. Are you getting any other faults?

Its the Crankshaft Position Sensor wire

The E90 can run without the Crankshaft Sensor, but poorly. The car goes into default limp mode. You get a Service Engine Light, and a Brake light. Along with a DSC Malfunction code. So, my problem was that the Crankshaft Sensor plug, was not plugged in!
