Help for wheel selection problem
Hi friends of the forum
My name is Paulo Martins and im from Portugal I have a BMW 2007 335d E92 M-Kit and i have the 19" 225 OEM wheels. I also have KW Clubsport coils. I want tho change my wheels to WSP W675 Basel M Matt Gun Metal also in 19". Tha available sizes are : FRONT Size - 8,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:29 CB:72,6 Size - 8,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:34 CB:72,6 REAR Size - 9,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:23 CB:72,6 Size - 9,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:37 CB:72,6 No doubt the OEM fit is the one with smaller ET but we all know that the ones that have a bigger ET look nicer. So my question is, if i buy the wheels with bigger ET (in bold) will they fit my car or not. I have friends that say yes and other say no. So now i really need the opinnion of more experienced drivers. Again thanks for the help guys PM |

First off the ones with smaller ET numbers are the ones that sticks out more. The smaller the ET is the further it will stick out.
Both of those setups fits, but i would go with 19x8.5 et29 front 19x9.5 et23 rear, this might need fender roll. Depending of your tyre size and ride height, but will look much better than et37.

Thanks for the reply
I think the deeper the concavity the better it looks no? If not these wheels look too similar with the CSL ones dont you think?? |

Here is the same wheel ,but it's called style 359 replica and sizes are 19x9 and 19x10.I would probably look in to find them in those sizes so you get more concave. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=531437

Ehehe and you're right!
Can you try and post pictures of the wheels I want to buy but with different concavity? Because even if one looks better than the other if it's just impossible to fit them in my car the choice will be obvious.... |

I only find these two. 19x8.5 et29 235/35/19 front and 19x9.5 et23 265/30/19 rear with fender roll. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=290 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=293 Other one 19x8.5 et29 and 19x9.5 et23 No idea of tyre size, maybe same as above or 225/35/19 front 255/30/19 rear.Narrower tyre helps wheels to fit easier. http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/7678/dsc04952i.jpg http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/2526/dsc04965h.jpg http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/7025/img0985qj.jpg http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/3250/img0995ui.jpg http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/6213/img0999i.jpg http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/8976/img1016st.jpg http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4500/img0993hi.jpg http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/3811/img1006t.jpg If you are going to choose between those two at your original post go with the lower offsets.

Hi again buddy
Well of what i read and learned these wheels are for 235/265 (M3 measures) so my current tires 225/255 will not fit, crap....and also probably i would have to fender roll so i dont know what to do right now....im pissed.... |

This guy says he only rubs at bigger bumps after fender roll and he has et20 rear. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=363 As for the fender roll it would be only needed at back and you can't see it from the surface if it done properly.Infact you can't roll front fenders, because those are plastic. If you don't want to roll fenders you can also add more negative camber to rear, or choose the 9.5 et37 for the rear. If later you want more aggressive fitment buy spacers. Or go aggressive and do this 9.5 et23 allround. http://illmotion1.wordpress.com/2011...bmw-e92-328xi/

You just have to test it.You can also try measure it like this Your new set would stick out 22mm more compared to old one ,and you get little bit more clearance, because "stretched" tyre 255 on 9.5 Are you going to use those same tyres as the one in pictures? To me those look like bald and you could buy new tyres to new wheels.

Hi again buddy ; )
So of these two measures : Size - 9,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:23 CB:72,6 Size - 9,5x19 PCD: 5x120 ET:37 CB:72,6 The one with ET37 will be the perfect fit and the one with ET 23 will look better but maybe will rub on the fedder right? Thanks friend, I really do! |
