I'm thinking about doing the same mod.
I have noticed an important piece to hold the wires above the engine in M3.
can someone help to identify the part numbers ?
I think we can use it in 330/335 cowl mod.
its marked in red in the attached photos.

Pretty sure it's this diagram (Engine Electrics/Cable Harness Fixings), unfortunately, it doesn't show all the parts as being available?

Prices for these pieces have gone up quite a bit for some reason. Back when I did in 2011-12 it was around $100 plus filters. Still a great mod though. ECS Tuning has good as your gonna get prices on these parts plus cheaper aftermarket filters.

#2 is p/n 12527532270 (bottom)

Those are the standard cable ducts for the E8X/E9X.

Clean way to reduce heat near the back of the engine and still look very neat.

cool mod but honestly a little bit of a waste if you wanted to shed more weight and make everything easier to access you could of gotten those bms cabin filters that screw in. That would remove all that plastic. too lazy to get the link for it

I ordered from this company late last week. I was waiting to give name after getting confirmation that they can get these parts. They have been ordered from BMW but awaiting more details.

Slim, If i were you I would wait on me giving thumbs up fr a couple reasons. 1 is given above and 2 is it appears these trays have plastic protrusions under the 3 metal attach points. I'm not sure if the plastic tabs will slide under the "parent" lower housing or what. I'm sure hoping that the US sourced M3 cowl parts are compatible with the tray parts. My money has already been sent. My point is let me be the only one to make the mistake if it is one. I will go cross reference the parent housing part numbers (64-31-6-958-817 and 64-31-6-958-818) and see if same ones are listed on European version of M3 cowl. Hopefully, they match.

Went to real oem and looked up M3 from Europe. It shows the same lower housing part numbers as my previous post for US M3 lower housings so the tray parts are compatible.

Tom, I hunted around on the link you gave. What submenu under E92 do we go to for the trays? I. On realoem, I go to engine electrical to find the trays. Thx

Andrew, if rain were not a factor, I see your point. M3 cowl cuts E90 cowl weight in half. My 335D is a porker anyway so 5 lbs saved versus 10 saved doesn't concern me much. Several others things now gone so my car is likely about 120 lbs lower than factory ( not counting getting rid of the run flats) weight.

awesome, i like that you pay attention to detail, but regarding rain I am positive rain wouldn't affect anything with the bms cabin filters considering even without the cowl the dme box has it's own cover and same goes for the other side with the brake lines etc. maybe I'm missing something ether way cool mod def unique
