No duty phil, they're shipping from Germany, although you pay the guy in Switzerland in Euros?!?!?! He's bending some rules probably, but that's his risk.

+1 On the G5 board, the SLD function is just done with wire jumpers in the harness.

The 'old fashioned' G4 SLD (that I have) is a separate unit to be wired in.

Just upgrade to G5, I want to do it but it seems strange that this Swiss guy doesn't sell the upgrade when it's just part of the full kit?

The upgrade is only 150USD from the US, take your chances with taxes.

The seller in in Switzerland, but he ships the goods from a depot in Germany, so no import taxes here.

There will be no taxes or duties to pay. It is coming from Germany. I have been assured by the distributor.

Yeh I think the upgrade is the better choice. No point paying that much for SLD when you can get the upgrade for not much more.

Doughboy, I will PM you his email address so you can ask him as well. He maybe able to get it for you if you are willing to wait a little bit. He will probably import it and then ship it to you.

I think the G5 upgrade is more of a stock issue for the distributor. I PM's you his details so contact him and see what he says.

He says he has the G5 upgrade kit also (I asked him to confirm stock) and its 190CHF inc delivery to the UK.

1CHF = 0.68GBP today, so about £129 all in.

Ordered and paid.
Just have to play the waiting game now... Grrr....
Paypal make about 2% on the exchange rate. Not Vullnet's fault. It's still a great deal!
Thanks Amin335i!
Now, who wants a set of downpipes??

Lets not jump to conclusions about "rule bending" guys.
The parts come into De and out of De. Just because the website is Swiss doesn't mean anything.
I just paid, and Vullnet contacted me immediately to inform me the parts were in the post!

Awesome. Haha, onto second mod already. I would love to buy good quality downpipes, im just worried about mot and excessive noise. I am correct in thinking that neither is an issue after decat?

Neither is really an issue although the downpipes can make turbo rattle much more pronounced.

I'm still after the DCI, wonder if he would import that to order?

MOT is not an issue for me. I have never heard the downpipes personally but I hear that the noise is not a problem.
I am hoping that Vullnet can get them for me at the same time as a DCI.. Not asked him yet though. Cars going in for a 4 day detailing and ceramics next week. Missus found out about the JB4, so I may have to wait until next month anyway. LOL!

Downpipes make more noise- generally in a good way. I do hear a little rattle on trailing throttle....

For those of you who already ordered. If Vullnet sent you a tracking number, you will have to put it into the German site here:-
http://www.dhl.de/en.html

Before and after dyno session next week anyone??

I have no clue. It was just a spur-of-the-moment idea.
I will have to find someone local (Hull). I won't even have my car back from the detailers until Friday evening so it would have to be Saturday 25th.
I suppose we could all go to our local place and report back with results..

WM - i could be interested but Hull is a bit to far. Been looking to get mine on a dyno since getting my jb4 but haven't found anyone to do it.
Anyone know where to get a dyno run in the greater manchester area?
Emailed a couple of places but got no reply

G5 upgrade

I am also interested in the G5 upgrade and SLD, but am a bit confused as to whether this is available through this group buy or not.

If it is available, do I contact the seller direct? or do I go through Amin?
