HiFi System Upgrade: Opinions

I've been researching this all over this forum, this seems to be one of those subjects that give vague results on searching.

I got:
-HiFi system - E90 US Spec
-BSW Stage I Speaker Upgrade (link)

I want to upgrade the amp.

When I search for plug-and-play amps here, I read very mixed reviews. I want to do a pnp amp that gives me strong highs and mids. I don't want thumping bass.

If you don't mind me asking - how does BSW stage 1 sound? Compared to the HK premium sound option? I also have HiFi and am planning to upgrade my audio system as well.

Speakers definitely sound better. Just overall 'clearer'. However, I do think these are made to take a lot more load. That's why I am trying to do an amp, I just think I am not getting what these speakers can offer.

Thanks for sharing, but it is disappointing that BSW wasn't satisfying for you :-(

Jl xd600/6 and technic harness

Jl xd600/6 and technic harness is the standard Hi Fi Fix.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=792322

This guy is on the right path for a base system it won't be to different for Hi Fi. the link above
Also
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=759664&page=2

Reason's for the XD
Its a quality mid range priced amp.
It has the exact number of channels to match Hi Fi(xd 600/6)
It fits in the same area as the OEM Hi Fi amp
It has the right kind of Inputs to be compatible with the
Hi Fi Head Unit . (balanced differential inputs)
If you get good speakers with just the amp its pretty awesome.
If you like old style stereo with Morels and Jehnerts this is
an audiophile level system.
