They'll fit with space to spare. You'll probably want spacers, especially on the rears.

Fronts will be a tight fit depending on ride height they are about 1mm more than the flushest non-stretched fitment.

Rears should be doable, don't put a spacer on them without a fender roll.

I most definitely do not recommend spacers with that setup.
Unless you have a rolled rear fender, then you could throw a spacer in the rear only.

There will be tons of space on the rears. You can run up to a 18x10 et 35 with a 275 without needing a fender roll (on stock suspension).

The fronts will only stick out 24mm's more than stock style 189s that run the same wheel/tire size, but with an offset of et 34. You will be fine with fitment.

On an 8.5" wheel the most aggressive setup is normally et 20, some people push to et 17 before you start stretching tires.

Et 17 on my car touches the fender when turning.
His setup will be 1mm out further, which can make all the difference when it comes to fitment.

So you're saying you can run 10" wheels with 35 offset that is true... but isn't an 8 inch wheel with et 10 the EXACT same thing without even a mm of difference on the fender side? So where's all the room for spacers going to come from?

Ok, you are right. I went ahead and tested it with my stock style 189 fronts (18x8 et34 225/40) with 25mm spacers, effectively bringing them down to et9 and here’s what I discovered:

Fronts: stuck out past fender approx 5mm. I’m assuming you are on stock suspension/ride height? If so, on very hard turns there is a possibility that you will rub as the tire will most definitely catch the front fender if the springs/shocks were to compress to that point.

Rears: sat inside fender approx 10-12mm. You should be fine, but no spacers needed.

What I didn’t think about was that this setup looks extremely awkward since the fronts stick out much farther than the rears, giving it a "reverse staggered" look.

Yeah, the front is as FLUSH as it can get, with possibly even a "poke". I would recommend a stretched tire for that setup, but on an 8" wheel it's not that possible. If you car is lowered your even more likely to run into trouble. The rear is just a regular setup which 95% of vendors sell for e9x models.

Most commmon setup is 9.5" et 33 for the rears. His setup would be the same as a 9.5" et 33 setup with a 4-5 mm spacer. This is about as close as you can get without rubbing on a lowered e92. I'm guessing it's a winter setup so it will have square sidewalls, plus a 225 on an 8" will have square shoulders, so there's a chance it could rub... on my personal car that setup will rub on the highway due to ride height.

The reverse stagger will DEFINITELY look awkward, unless you roll the rear and put in a 10mm spacer.
